Lee Scott

And why would we visit him Rhodes, what good would it do. You are so dam THICK, rhodes. You will never change.

The club can hold its head up high, knowing everything that weve done over the years and i definatly do not need to JUSTIFY myself to you.........especially you.

Have you ever heard of the mushroom diet .....rhodes.....well people have been feeding you that for years.

Time to get into the real world and wake up..........

That would explain his keenness to be seen to be helping Lee out. Trouble is, every time clippy tries to help out, he ends up putting his foot in it. Example - nobody on this forum knew why Lee was inside last time around until clippy posted a link to an article that explained that he'd bashed a copper. Instantly, every opponent had the perfect opportunity to wind him up in every game once he was released.

To paraphrase a saying, with friends like clip Rods...

Where did I say I was blaming him for Lee Scott's incarcerations, Karl? The point I made was that nobody outside of KTFC knew why he was in the slammer until clippy unnecessarily posted a link that told us all.

Rhodes..Im sure your comments regarding Lee Scott winning the championship singlehanded for Kentish Town will impress the rest of the players and just proves your in a world of your own.

Have you ever heard the saying "Banging your head up against a brick wall".This was the case with Lee.

Football Man - Firstly Lee did not bash a copper, secondly if every opponent did wind him up in every game, which certainly wasn't the case, then he answered them in pretty fine style didn't he with 34 goals and winning the golden boot ahead of Craig Hammond.

What Golden Boot, I thought that went to the striker from Biggleswade Town Dan Heron,You will upset Wader.

The league does not give out awards for top goalscorers, you only get a mention in the league handbook the following season with all the other statistics.

And neither does Kentish Town by all accounts, I understand the Club had an 'awards night' without presenting any trophies

Who would turn up for an awards night, when there are no awards ?

Surely there was an award for Programme of the Season hairout

We had a similar case when I was at Stansted a number of years ago, when an ex- player of ours got himself into bother. He was no longer with us, in fact he had just earnt himself a deal at a Conference club when it went tits up for him, but we felt it necessary to offer him some support from the club. He got into the wrong crowd & was party to some nasty crimes 7 is now paying the price ! Funnily enough though he is still in pentonville now, with him & Lee scott, they'll have a good side in there !

Yes it sounds like you did your utmost to help your player whereas Kentish Town were supposed to wrap Lee up in cotton wool and find him a job but never did.

Unc - Yes, I think that probably does say it all.
Incidentally Lee is all over the Camden Gazette like a rash today but I can't seem to find a link on the on-line version of the paper.

Evening all - Just to update you, I went to visit Lee again yesterday who is keeping his spirits up just waiting for his release which hopefully, God willing, shouldn't be too long now. Once again I was mortified to learn that nobody from Kentish Town had been to see him as yet or been in touch, indeed the article in today's local press states that 'the Club are confident their ambitions will be unaffected if they lose him'. What a kick in the teeth to someone who won them promotion last season.

It does sound a shame if no one from the club went to visit him, im sure he has close friends from childhood as was stated on this site not so long ago from the club, but just because they havent gone doesnt 100% mean they dont care.

I imagine KTFC players are trying to concentrate on the league opener on Saturday v Hertford.

Only the initial game for KTFC on Saturday will tell how much they miss him from the pitch, as I said earlier good luck to them but he will surely be a big loss with his pace and eye for goal. I still cant believe KTFC will go into the season with no pre-season friendlies, I imagine they they must have had 1 or 2 by now.

Bosman08 - It's certainly the most extraordinary pre-season programme I have ever come across unless there is some sort of method in the Club's madness, even after the four high quality friendlies we had last season against Eton Manor, Biggleswade United, Basildon United and Bethnal Green we still lost the first league game at Buckingham Athletic who were there for the taking but Jonathan Donoghue couldn't hit a cows backside with a banjo that afternoon.
