Rhodes
Firstly it's interesting that Lee Scott's defection to Wingate & Finchley was kept firmly under wraps, why wasn't it mentioned previously prior to yesterday when I let the cat out the bag. Secondly I am still acting as 'the great one's agent so how could I possibly be banned from the Stadium, we talk on the phone every day and he won't be best pleased to read or hear of this although he won't get it from me as, unlike some on the Forum, I don't tell tales out of school. Rhodes
Well I very much hope that isn't the case and the Club stoop to the depths of Haringey Borough as 'the great one' won't be best pleased and may even walk away in protest.
nellie
Rhodes its time you took notice now.....whatever decisions/discussions happen at KTFC are NOTHING to do with me.....I am not part of KTFC .... they are the club that I choose to go and watch while I am in london, and as you know I have in the past taken money at the gate as a favour to KTFC nothing more or nothing less Rhodes. If there is anything you want/need to know you know who the people are you need to speak to......and I am certainly not one of them. Is "great one" aware of this protest he might take if in case you are barred from Copthall?
Rhodes
Nellie - You say that however you seem to be very much in the know within the corridors of power at the Cothall Stadium, I find it difficult to believe you didn't have an incling that Lee had left the Club for pastures new, indeed you seemed to be going out of your way to keep it under your hat for some reason. nellie
well Rhodes we are all entitled to our opinion......and I also dont remember saying if I did or did not know about Lee, and as I said earlir I am not part of KTFC and if I do know anything it is not my position to pass on the information. In my opinion that is up to the people within KTFC to do if they wish.
Tiger007
Here and now. Lee Scott has asked the powers at KTFC if he can train with Finchley and Wingate, as KTFC has not stood in his way, we are all for players playing at the best possible level, it makes good publicity for the club that it can produce players that move up the pyramid and hopefully one day it will have players playing in football league level. The Club will replace Lee if he decides to stay with F & W. We have always found players to bring in and this will not change. Mr Rhodes you may still be in contact with the great one, but this does not mean anything in my eyes, as the great one and I also have a good working relationship. You seem to think that you are banned from Copthall, Mr Rhodes why do you think this? And dont use "im still the great ones agent" as if it will open doors for you, because it wont open any doors at KTFC for you. Maybe in other places but not here, you would be treated solely as a paying spectator, no more no less.
bosman08
Any news on any new ground in the pipeline to sustain the future for KTFC and to ensure you continue to bring through players?
Rhodes
Bosman08 - Do you mean in Camden, I think the Club are exploring possibilities but as you know there is very little available in the way of green space and Camden Council don't really want to know
bosman08
Does that mean the future is bleak or the roots where the club came from are going to dug up and the club will be no longer be Camden based? Would be nice to hear something from a KTFC person as im assuming they know the best. Dont you agree?
Tiger007
The roots of the club will never change bosman, and we will still have strong ties with Camden as well as Islington..........ie working closely with Times Boxing Club (Islington)...........Hampstead (Camden) and also working closely with a big local football club. The club will also try to work with Barnet in the coming season, so as far as i can see, the future is far from bleak. as to a ground we are happy were we are at present and if any further developments occure then i will let everyone know. hope this answers some of your queries bosman. bosman08
Indeed the present ground is a fantastic location for playing and training. The great one "Rhodes" did his big part in helping out KTFC in getting the Copthall facilities before Hendon and others who were hoping to use the grounds. I'm sure work is going on at KTFC but for any club to really move on and develop kids etc a home ground is a must, this is getting more and more difficult for a lot of clubs in Non league just look at Edgware shutting up shop, Rusilip Manor now looking for a new home. I think the great one "Rhodes" has the contacts, get him back on board.
Tiger007
nawwwwwwwwwwwww weve moved on already bosman.
bosman08
Fair enough but would you be prepared to give Rhodes the credit he deserves for the work he has done at KTFC? I think a lot of people on this forum belief he has done nothing except get an FA Charge which obviously no one other than KTFC and the FA can verify. But in his X amount of years at KTFC im sure he has done sterling work.
Tiger007
Dont need to verify anything bosman, enough ppl have seen the evidence, and never ever said that Mr rhodes has never done any good work for KTFC. But its no good for a club to take one step forward and then two back. We all must answer to someone, and when we step over the line, we must become answerable and we must expect to be reprimanded. Unfortunatly Mr Rhodes felt that he has no one to answer too. No other Club has stood by him as we did, since he joined us. He needs to learn from his mistakes and admitt when he is wrong and hopefully he will?
