Young Squad

Chaps,

 

Im slightly confused at y this season you have decided to go for a young squad.

 

Im not here to stir, however last few season's since we came down to the ryman we have had a very young squad of which both season's we struggled, even more noticable last season.

 

The players we have brought in this season all have more experience so hopefully we can push on up again.

 

Im hoping this to be more of a warning that young players isnt the way but i hope you lot can make it work.

However,i do think the Margate youth are better than most-certainly potentially

 

You are one of my top 8 predictions for the coming season.

 

I read that you have signed others but also,lets not forget that much of the experience you refer to consists of you having 4 ex-Margate players :

 

Side,Ryan Martin,Harte and in particular-real quality in Dean Standen.

 

How do you rate them ?

I do not believe that all those that have signed will be in the starting 11 however I believe they have been signed so that the Scot on the other side can't get his filthy hands on them. Eastwood being a prime example.

I believe BA will add at least 3-4 experienced players into the squad. We'll have to wait and see though.

I have looked at their site MM and I don't think any have been resigned for this season, ecxcept they are still after Martin.

 

Agree Paul I believe BA etc are protecting our gems and we will get more experience in the team even if only by loan players for a while.

Good point too CE, which is why this season I believe we are doing the right thing investing in our youth! Just hope we bring them through as they should be and not destroy their confidence they have at the moment.

 

Am sure the management team with their experience is well aware of this though, especially with Mark being closely involved.

We have a new investor, who is basically wants us to be playing conf football as soon as possible, he also has plans to get more fans in but we need results to get them.

i think we are in for a good season,
