Hi David, I read that via the link on Confguide last night. Makes for an intersting read, and sort of confirms what many of us believed all along, that Stimson isn't a very pleasant person.

A leopard never changes it's spots.

Who will ever forget THAT moment against Canvey, when pent up excitement/lust/hatred showed in his face and glazed eyes as he did the coffee shake towards us?

The man might be a reasonable coach, but that is debateable as he led Gills to relegation in his first senior stint as manager, but he still has all the hallmarks of a man who holds grudges, is nepotistic and is a poor man manager.

Are you Stimsons love child, Harry?

I did say he may be a reasonable coach.

As a person he is one that I would cross the road to avoid.

Were you there at the Canvey game?

Did you see the vitriolic and deranged look in his eyes, the spittle that was flying from his mouth as he vented his 'emotion' at young children and ordinary fans?

I was about 15 feet away, and he was scary.

Ed Miller had a brilliant photo of the incident on his ond site - might be worth ressurrecting, to clarify what I mean.

Apologies for the 'love child ' thing, Harry, a bit harsh.

I accept he has had some success at this level, his first ventures into league management have been dissapointing. He has clearly kept faith in players he has managed in the past - ie, conference players. He packed the Gills side with players not up to league 1 standard, which is the reason they got relegated.

Gills are virtually bankrupt, which is 1 reason Stimson may have had his hands tied with who he signed, but speaking to Gills fans, most think his nepotism has been his undoing.

This doesn't really do the incident justice, and the quality's impaired due to the amount of darts I've chucked at it:

even though we lost that game i still knew we would win the league. favourite memory has to be the canvey fans in the plough end singing stand up if you hate northfleet then finding it hilarious because everyone was standing up. simple things please simple people...
