Worlds Judo

Hello everyone i'm back.

 

Back with good news aswell.

 

I won a Bronze medal at the 10th World Masters Judo Championship on Saturday.

 

I beat a French player in my first fight and then beat the much fancied Belgique number 1 in my 2nd.

I came across a fighter from Brazil in the semifinal and the fight went the distance with no scores on the board. So this contest went to golden score and contreversially he threw me on my front instead of my back and scored a point which gave him the win. Refereeing wasnt that great and it never should have been a score but thats just part of judo. Sometimes you get those decisions your way and other times not. You just have to accept it.

I then fought another frog for the bronze and won.

 

Great weekend and to think i only came back to Judo 4 months ago and with only 3 tournaments under my belt. A bronze medal and to say i'm the 3rd best in the World is great.

 

Thanks to all the guys on here that sponsored me.

 

Next for me will be the British Masters in Walsall in September and then off again to the European Championships in Prague in November.

 

Before then it's back to football and some pre season training.

since being back from the Worlds i havent had time to update my website. Training tonight with HARTLEY and then with another team Thursday so i'll see if i can get the site updated with a report and some photos wednesday evening!!
