I dont think anyone is being overly negative-just a sense of reality that we do need some experience in there.Of course people can be over positive and if the kids dont perform after two games the moaning will start.Im looking forward to see how this fresh approach works but of course have a sense of caution as well.Looking forward to cheering them on,whoever wears the blue.

Hence my comment above. Yourthanet have been a little premature here.

The Haworth incident has shown that it's never a done deal until the ink is dry and the form with all the right signatures on it, is in the post.

As you implied, we're tyring to make sure we bring the most up to date factual news that we can, as soon as we can. Hopefully it is making a difference to this pre-season period compared to others.

Yes it is imo.

The relatively quick passing on of info -especially re: player signings-does make it interesting-and i am sure there will be a payback to MFC-as it keeps people engaged-and thus will come along to matches at start of season-then its down to the results.

had we not had the info flow in the summer, the dwindling attendances would have been accentuated imo.

Keep it flowing please.

There is a noticeable improvement on previous close seasons imo.

Thanks

Yeh, we know the web-site needs some work for the new season, but I'll try & follow up on that one.

Just to say to your point MM, that it's not just me, a number of people across the club are playing their part in making sure we get stuff to you via the web-site as soon as we can.

I get info put on the MISA page Steve so if its just the time needed to do it on the main page I can always do it if that helps? Am guessing it's a bit more than that though, but the offer is there if needed.

I appreciate that Alan but I think that it's most appropriate and imoprtant for the news we have been sharing to come out through the official web-site news page. The "club" should (and is) communicate this stuff to the fans.

Prices are exactly as they are on the website for last year this year (you know what I mean) according to this weeks paper. The only difference being the 10% discount is if you purchase a season ticket before 7th July this season. So as I am becoming an immature student this year with concessions and 10% discount that'll be 95 quid which is not bad eh? Although you may find it available on E Bay in December for about

Someone mentioned Wes Hammond on here. Well I know he has only just come back off of holiday and that he has been approached but he has not actually signed yet.

On speaking to my grandfather today i'm a little concerned but still upbeat. I want to see Ashby sign 4 good quality Ryman players to add to his existing squad and then I will feel better about next seasons prospects. I do still think its great though that local players are getting a chance.

Having viewed local players/Ryman and Kent league clubs the list of signed players is very worrying for the gate.

The plan was to supplement the squad with loan signings presumably Gillingham, however given the turmoil they are facing and the lack of mature reserve players ( reserves maninly involving academy players) they will still find it hard to strengthen the squad.

The players listed are all no where near strong enough for ryman premier football, they need to be blooded at Kent league clubs. Hickman struggled at Faversham, I hear you have also signed Wes Hammond who could not even hold a regular place at Faversham.

The Margate res. were nowhere near top of their respective league so to throw them in at the deep end will only hinder them as playing in a struggling team will be tough... then maybe Mr Ward will pilfer the better players, has the tide turnded as i feel Margate is shaping into a feeder club as much as i hate to say it...
