Season Tickets

Recommended Posts

The last batch of season tickets are going out recorded delivery. They were scheduled for hand delivery but there were problems a) finding some of the addresses in the new build area and B) gaining access to flats with door entry systems.

We have sold 559 altogether.

As for the wallets, they are generally only issued to new applicants. I am delighted to say wink that due to the unprecedented demand, we have run out!

They will be issued once a new batch is received, there will be a note in the programme regarding this.

...to sell that number of season tickets is real progress as it is double last year's number already.

Bodes well for attendences I suggest although selling another 250 out of the potential 25,000 at Wembley puts it a bit in to perspective...

Shows at least some positive impact albeit modest...

I seem to have gone round in circles rather nicely there...basically I suppose it's good but not that good!

Bustagut, as you probably know, it's unlikely that we've sold 559 full season tickets, the mini season tickets have been very popular, especially in todays increasing shift work climate, I myself have had no choice but to go for an 11 match season ticket due to work, it doesnt matter whether the 559 are full or mini, they are bought by loyal supporters that will get to every game possible, things are definitely moving forward at our club and the fact that we have sold 559 season tickets is great news.

I have no issue with the books of tickets. I think they are a good idea, especially as you point out shift work etc. I do have a issue with them being called season tickets as they are clearly not, as they do not last the season. Bargain bundles, economy tickets, call them what ever you like, but calling them season tickets gives a false impression in my eyes. It makes the real season ticket figures look far better than they really are.

What is impressive is that last season we only had around 900 to 1000 regulars. Add in the floaters and I think this would make a favourable increase because I can't see over half of our support buying season tickets. Incidentally 3 seasons ago when I worked the comps gate we were lucky to see more than 220-230 season ticket holders a game including mini tickets.

We are only ever two consecutive losses away from the doom & gloom boys, you know that Gaz.

p.s. Don't feel you have to move back to Chatham even if we do feck up the FAcup again.
