Well well, 3 months after my first run and tomorrow at dawn will see me making my
final preparations for the 26.2 mile (42km) Rio Marathon!

My original plans with the project changed, so the week leading up to the big day
hasnt gone entirely as planned. I have been working on a remote farm planting banana
trees with some of the teenage street children of the project which was great fun
and a good way to cross train. What wasn't so great was awaking on Tuesday to a
severe bout of food poisoning which saw me in hospital by the evening as I was
vomiting blood!!! (sorry for the graphic detail)...however a litre of glucose drip,
some sleep and some antibiotics later I was fighting fit again. As you can imagine,
since then I have had to eat twice as much to make up for the weight and nutrients I
lost during that day but I am not complaining.....

I will send more of an update regarding the project shortly, just give me a day or
two to recover from the marathon first!

Thank you all once again for your support, I hope with knowing you are all behind
me, I will get across the finish line in one piece!

really MOB...well seeing as tho' I have been using the canvey forum longer than you have and seeing as tho' no one else has asked me to stay off here I think I shall continue posting on here whenever I wish to....

you however may wish to have another pint of bitter (or scotch) grin
