Frankie, that is what they are wearing now. The big difference is that with the authentic SM style shorts players used to be able to hitch them up around the waistband (or round the bottom of the leg as Albert Quixall did) when they wanted to "get stuck in". Today's shorts are designed like cyclists' "plus twos", at least I think that is what they are called. How long will it be before they are wearing golfers' "plus fours" I wonder.
