Start of the 2008/09 Season

Does the season start on 16th August? I'm hoping it doesn't, as I'm away on holiday for a week from that date. It looks like I'll miss the first two or possibly three games. How about the first three games away, Wrexham, then Barrow on the Tuesday. Followed by York the following Saturday. Doubtful, but one can hope.

Not sure exactly but if we match the League then it will be 9th August. The first game will be an away match, I know that much.

Excellant Gadgetman. Following a job change , I wont be able to make as many midweek away games so the more Saturday away we get early on the better for me.

 

Looking forward to Wrexham and Barrow away. And of course we will have the usual banter on the minibus.

I think it might actually be the 9th.

 

Were away first game and we've been put with Charlton which means when we're at home they are away and vice versa. Charlton are at home to Swansea City on the 9th.

A quick look at the pre-season friendly fixture list in Sunday's NLP shows that no BSP club has a match advertised on the 9th August which would indicate that the conference season starts on that date. Odd that our CEO isn't sure of the first date but categorically states that the game when played will be an away fixture! The Conference always has to do things secretly.
