mvscr in ccl story

tons of potential especially with the office developments locally.

personally I worry about teams/clubs moving away from their roots to progress.

havent predators already had a go at CCL1 level?

If the two do merge and SCR disappears whats it all about?

is it just a way of moving players, sponsors, committee guys etc around and up the ladder?

What of those who get left behind and the club has disappeared?

I dont understand it, any enlightenment out there?

Salmon went on to thank all the people who had helped make the move into level six football possible, including the ground staff at Chelsea's Cobham training ground who have donated goal posts, fencing and dug outs as SCR built up their ground to the required level.

That is some great help excellent re-sourcing!

im questioning the driving force behind some of these groundshares and mergers.

In most cases its a way of getting a club further up the leagues than its original base allows.

Reigate priory, oldest club in surrey, original fa cup entrants, still in existence, at the sporting level they are allowed or feel comfortable with. Thats one way of doing things.

A few other clubs, pub/park or sunday and youth sides a few seasons back leave their home area, jump up a step or two mainly because they have been able to get a groundshare, and not always because of a promotion winning season. Is that for genuine sporting reasons, or personal individual ambition?

Personally I prefer clubs to develop their ground and playing level hand in hand.

I've heard that Farnborough are going to merge with Gretna in a last minute effort to preserve Gretna's Scottish League Status.

The new team will be called Gretna & Farnborough incorporating Bisley United
