[Margate Football Club]

Margate Football Club is delighted to announce that Brian Stout has agreed to take up the honorary position of Club President following several Seasons as a Vice President.

 

Malcolm Rowlett has spoken with the Directors and confirmed his intention to take a year out from the Club. Malcolm has, however, offered to continue liaising with the local authority over our redevelopment plans. We would like to thank Malcolm for his role within the Club over the last three years.

 

The Club can also announce that ground entry prices will remain unchanged for Season 2008/9, Adults

I'm really hoping that we very very soon have some positive player/signing news to debate.

 

Seems we need some players (despite what Mr Yorath said about 'don't panic (yet !!)'

Plenty of time Michael, especially with friendlies coming up, the last thing we want to do is sign a player then find he is useless or carrying an injury!

You are probably correct-but is not the idea of a manager/back up team to know which players are good/which are useless;and research injuries/background before they sign them.

 

The friendlies in my eyes should be to get match fitness/systems sorted-not for testing out players

Definitely good to hear regular news coming out of the club; even if, as MM says, it is sometimes obscure. Full marks to the club for a drastic improvement in communications.

No problems with 'obscure' news,and i think we have always requested-give us any news .

That way you keep the supporters involved and engaged.

And to be fair-the position of honorary president is fair news.
