As for this Edgware Middlesex nonsense this is clearly all pie in the sky unless you can prove otherwise, there has been no mention of location for example and it is far too short notice to get a team up and running for the Middlesex County League Premier Division for an early September start.

by the amount of posts coming from the old guard I would suggest that something is rattling them...lets just go about our business....the dice have been rolled today and we await the outcome....

Rhodes and Unc....lets just hit the ignore button (is there such a fuction on this forum ?)when it comes to 'dildo' opps 'bilbo' a nasty little hobbit who has obviously no life/friends/GF/Wife..so instead trawls through old locked threads on the Edgware forum (am I banned or can anyone else not logg in?) then copies and paste them on this thread...sad very sad.

 

It's well documanted that myself and Unc have had run in's in the past, but we are mature enough to leave that firmly in the past and move forward with our project.

 

I KNOW what is really getting up 'dildo' opps there I go again...'bilbo's' nose is the fact that us three amigos HAVE actually got to work and already acheived a secured groundshare, a possible place in a step 5 YES thats step FIVE league and funding all in place in under a MONTH!!!!!!!

 

As I have said many times before, if those who have been vocally abusive towards myself were as vocal during Edgware matches then we would have have great support rather then the 3 and at most 4 vocal fans the club had (those in charge HATED the vocal support, and gave them another reason to get me out) I NEVER saw anyone come forward and offer their help to mr gregory....other then myself who first helped the club by starting an online petiton to save the WLG, in which I left messages on EVERY league and a vast number of non league forums and received over 2000 names in support.

 

I contributed to the match programmes/ ran a well vistied and regualry updated blog site, had match reports printed in the Harrow Observer (the rag who decided to print gregory's version of my 'banning' not once but twice with no contact from myself to give my viewpoint)....I also arranged for merchandise to be made with club badges and club scarves that sold out, all of thise using my own time and my own money in the case of the merchandise to chase them up a number of times using my phone.

 

I KNOW I have mentioned the above a number of times, and I dont see any reason why I should because I ENYOYED what I did for the club and did it for the love of the game and club NOT for any kudos....it just pisses me off that people like Frank Tate..AKA 'Bilbo' think they have done something for the club when in reality they have done NOTHING, lets face it, NO ONE even knew a 'Frank Tate' at Edgware, so when his name appeared as match secretary after my 2nd 'banning' eyebrows were indeed raised.

 

We ARE going to make this work......despite the efforts of some to hijack what we are doing..

well who can say bilbo but either way tis true that gav and I have had a few punch ups but you see there is one thing that bothers me slightly about all of that stuff way back then...he was right wasn't he...?

the club was closed down as he said it would be and he didn't do it did he...?

just a little fact that tends to be overlooked when gavs in the firing line....

anyway onwards and upwards...how are your efforts to reestablish the club coming along by the way...announcements later this week from your guys I think you said....?

This IS true, I could if I was arsed trawl though old threads where I said a YEAR ahead of schedule that the club would be gone by the summer of 08 and so its proved, though not to my delight.

My ill feeling for the club in the latter stages of last season were born out of those in charge NOT the club itself which is bigger then anyone one person or manager and playing staff.

It's funny how gregory changed the word 'Gavin' on the Edgware forum to appear as 'Numptie' or 'Numpty' whenever it was typed in....makes me wonder just who 'Bilbo' is....add that to the fact that 'Frank Tate' is not known at Edgware...and you do the maths.....

WHEN the new club is up and running the likes of 'bilbo' will be turned away at the door not that I belive he has even watched an Edgware Town match....check out his posts on the Edgware forum....up unitll my 'ban' they were all bollox and had LOTR meanings to them, NEVER did he post anyting re an Edgware match / players or anything remotley to do with Edgware Town FC.

 

If this represents the thoughts of Edgware 'fans' then I would rather attract those like Ted Lomas a REAL supporter and PJ / Bramley to the club and gain fresh support from the locale in which we will be situatied..

A couple of points on recent posts. Please remember that it was not Paul Gregory who sold the club to property developers but the previous regime run by Anthony Rosier.

 

Gavin, you pointed out that you only criticised the club towards the end of last season because of the people running it, but you spent much of the time criticising the management & players for not trying, in your opinion. If you are going to run a football club, you cannot make public comments about managers & players, otherwise it becomes a complete shambles.

 

I do support the efforts of some on this forum reviving the club, but criticism of the people who ran the club before must stop now, otherwise you will get no support from the loyal supporters who watched Edgware play year after year.

If you choose to support what we are doing then fair enough, but you have shown yourself to be two faced and hypercritical, I care little if you choose to support the NEW Edgware or not!

 

You know little how the club was run yet stand firmly by those who let it die why is that?

 

You mention Rosseir..but those in charge could have cut thier losses and gone it alone rather then be pulled along by Galliard, knowing full well this would lead to the end of the club at some point.

 

You and Samuel Smiles have cleary pinned your colours to the mast and they appear to be not Green & White....anyone who states on an Edgware forum that they are litterly 'excited' to be following Leyton FC next season loses all resepct from me.

Gavin, I feel that I knew far more than you how the club was being run & I know far more than you some of the plans for the future.

 

I will be watching Leyton next season as I enjoyed watching those players in the past few years. That does not mean that if Edgware start up again I won't be watching them.

 

However, if your venture succeeds, it seems that I would not be welcome anyway, which goes back to my previous point that your continued criticisms of the Paul Gregory will alienate the majority of loyal Edgware supporters.
