I was referring to the Athletics taking place at the Copthall Stadium during the summer as was the case last year, it is a bit of an issue but I'm sure the Club will find a way around it somehow, it will be interesting if they're drawn at home in the FA Cup and FA Vase.

Bilbo - Thanks for letting Gavin and me know, can you put the word around about Edgware 2009 incase not everyone has heard the exciting news, we are still very much on course to resurrect the Club for the start of 2009/2010. Have a good night on Saturday.

Is that the name you have registered with the FA? I don't think so. You two couldn't run an egg and spoon race let alone a football club and with Gavin no Mates man management skills I doubt very much that you will get anyone to join a team, management or players.

You probably don't remember him ranting "You're not fit to were the shirt" at Edgware players last season after singing their praises a week before. Blows Hot and Cold is too kind, the guy's a psyco.

Bilbo - Uncle Urchin and myself have every confidence in Gavin and between the three of us we will resurrect a new Edgware with competent people onboard and get the Club to the starting tape for 2009/2010. You are clearly a very bitter man to say something like 'we are the most loathed people in non league today' and how you can come to that conclusion when we are doing this in the interest of non league football, whereas the old regime simply allowed Edgware Town FC to die, is beyond me.

Bilbo - I agree with Rhodes I dont know the old regime at Edgware Town FC but the fact is Rhodes and co are trying to save a club which is good for the community in which it resides, the kids which can get off the street and play football and provide Rhodes, Gavin and UU and others involved with something they can be proud of.

Although we will miss Paul, just watch what the 'old regime' can do. I can assure you this is no fantasy and the Wares have some serious backers who are putting plans together at the moment for a press release in about 14 days time.

Let's see if Gavin's promised press release in the non league papers and BBC's non league show ever materialises, then the truth will be out. But I would suggest that nobody holds their breath.

The Spurs Fan - Sadly these are the sort of people that Gavin warned us about and you can now begin to paint a picture can't you and see why the Club sadly went to the wall like it did, I'm taking everything Bilbo says now with a large pinch of salt as it is clearly sour grapes.

Fantastic!!!! I'll soon have the choice of two Edgwares to watch, mmmmm which one shall I support. Town or 2009. 2009 or Town. mmmmm let me think now. The original, historic, famous, mighty Town, or the all new, fresh, 'get up and go' 2009.

 

Lots to consider here. Rhodesy in charge of the all new, fresh, 'get up and go' 2009. He is a close personal friend of the great Sir Trevor after all, and obviously has some real clout and respect from within the FA. And he has conducted the resurection of the all new, fresh, 'get up and go' 2009 with real dignity and no little class.

 

Town or 2009, 2009 or Town, arrggghh, i don't know.

 

2009 seems to hold all the trump cards at the moment with it's formidable backroom staff, but then again i have followed Town for so many years. 2009 or Town, Town or 2009. It has to be the original mighty Greens surely. No, Rhodes has been a towering figure in the formation of 2009 and has been most sympathetc in his opinions of the old Town fans and Board. It has to be 2009 then.

 

Rhodesy, I think you a great, really really great, and I know that what you are doing for the new Edgware is purely because of your love for the beautiful game and Edgware and not your need to be approved that so many have accused you of. And that is to be commended.

 

But Rhodesy, where will be playing when we are up and running, and will we be wearing the green kit, what league will we be in and.....oh so many questions. You great Rhodesy, really really great.

Yeah, Rhodesy, isn't that strange, Where were the backers 6 months, 12 months 18 months ago? Dunno, maybe Miss Marple could help. Or is that just the way life is? Confuses the buggery out of me spursfan.

 

did the old regime not want them, or vice versa?....again, dunno, vice-versa i 'spose.
