i am a gillingham and fleet supporter and have been for many years. as kent teams we should work closely together, and i cant see why some fleet supporters are happy that the gills were relegated.

also our financial situation isnt as bad as u think, we are not ground sharing, and have got rid of much of our dept in the last month.

last season, i went to about 15 fleet games, and most of the gills games, and enjoyed going to all of the games.

probably 5-10,000 of the fleet support taken to wembley were also gills fans. and im sure there were quite a lot of fleet fans at wembley in 99 and 2000.

Theres nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition, Gillingham have always been a bigger name in football than ebbsfleet united, and many believe this is soon to change! Myself included! In the last 5 years, Gillingham have dropped 2 leagues. Whereas the fleet are looking stronger each season, and a trophy (maybe two) at the end of the campaign. Dartford and Ebbsfleet are close too, but they are still rivals! Its like Man City and United, Everton and Liverpool would bust a nut to beat each other. Local derby's are always a good sign, so why get rid of it? :S

money talks in football unfortunately....ebbsfleet and gillingham sounds about right to me...I might even propose a vote for the MyFc members to raise the money to buy gills off scally and merge it with ebbsfleet...15,000 fans in a new stadium cannot be sniffed at...makes much sense and we could appoint harry J as public relations liason officer....
