MyFc capitulate on PTT...!

Recommended Posts

according to the NLT...

MyFc members look set to give up some of their rights to keep Liam Daish at the club. The controversial on line owners look set to give Daish the last word on his team selection. Tim Glynn Jones (one of the brains behind the on line ownership scheme) said "The members have had a vote and appreciate what Liam has done for the club"

can't see this anywhere on the cesspit...??

Given the current hullabaloo they don't want another. I suspect it's someone speaking slightly out of turn and newspaper skewing it their way.

AFAIK the PTT is still set to be trialled on 12 July v Charlton.

Well, it might reflect all the discussion about "Suggest the Team", I suppose.

Wasn't there some vote a while back re. this? And wasn't the winning vote that MyFC pick the team, but Liam (or whoever is in that position) has the final say and can make whatever changes he decides as long as he posts valid reasons?

Its all very confusing, its late, and all I know can be written on the back of a stamp - a very, VERY small stamp...

There's been an article up for some time, and various references. Liam will offer a squad of 16, or however many players he has at the time(!), members will PTT and a majority indicated they would be comfortable with LD adjusting that, provided he explained why. First trial 12th July.

Be interesting to see how many members take part...

Not many, David, is my guess. It's not really what people thought they had signed up for. It was a good idea having the slogan of "Own the Club, Pick the Team " - but it hadn't been thought through. As soon as the thing was established and a club was found etc etc, lots of other caveats crept in - most of them to do with persoanlities, in my opinion.
I do think MyFC is really moving towards being a well-organised fan club. I hope that is enough to keep the members happy. But who knows? The forum is not representative and we have nothing else by which to gauge opinion.

If it was just a fan club Sal David would just be a fan not the CEO. There are lots of areas that MyFC can be much more than a fan club could ever be and a few that we can't.

We just need to work out what we can do and concentrate on those areas, with members like Tom we can achieve an awful lot, without those kind of members I think we will struggle.
