IF I remember correctly Darius Charles came in post January last season - plus Ronnie Bull and Hearn who both played a role for the team.

We all like to know where "our" money goes and I'm sure people would take a greater interest in that player.
I expect you would and if the poor buggers having a bad game, you and a thousand others will soon be telling him whos paying his wages.

Personally I'd never criticise a player outloud for having a poor game but I take your point.

When the Fleet Trust raised money to bring in Adrian Pennock a few years ago everyone knew this money had been used to fund his wages. It just so turned out that he done wonders for us. I guess its a "chicken and egg" situation.

The difference was though Jim that none of us got to vote on whether Ade played or not.

My, fairly worthless, view is that the money should be used to pay the wages of a player that we would not have had without the pledge money, I don't think that that player should be identified as it would effect team selection.

To be perfectly honest if PTT goes ahead in any realistic form we would need all the players to shave their heads and wear the black boots as well to prevent morons from picking 'the bloke in the yellow boots'.

To remove any bias towards "favourite" players, should the money simply be put into the players pot, leaving how it is spent to Liam, David D and John M.

Early signs are there are forming a strong and trusting relationship, which if Will B comes on board and drops PTT, will auger well for the new season.

You are missing my point - Why wait till the New Year to benefit the team? The money is there NOW, use it NOW...

If it is needed no problem - but it shouldn't be spent just because it is there. It is true that Daish is careful with spending the playing budget and I suspect that if it is spent before the start of the new season it will be to bring in a decent player who is capable of starting. It certainly opens up opportunities in the search for a decent striker.

Perhaps you could get someone in a position of authority to confirm that as there are many who are asking the same question...might be a good idea to post it on all the various MyFc/Ebbs forums/sites...no disrespect meant to you wanchai but you are hardly blessed with a good track record of giving out accurate information on forums....smile
