We are obviously increasingly nervous of our survival prospects next season on the playing front.

Maybe we need to look at the promotion of youth from the stakeholders angle.

In fairness,KP,GL and others have invested heavily.

They want a return.

The clubs assets are their players.

If by exposing our younger players, one or two of them attract the eye of bigger clubs (with PR and promotion from Yorath and Nev )and Margate get some transfer fees-say 3 players get fees of

I disagree with that, they are not doing this to recoup their losses they are doing this for the good of the club. They both have pumped in so much money over the years to keep the club going, the second they pull their money out will be the second the club goes into liquidation, which i doubt they will want see happen otherwise they would have been gone by now.

By and large I agree with MM.

As I posted on another thread some time back, in the 50's and 60's Burnley were noted for selling players in order to survive and as MM says, players are the clubs assets - maybe not how we tend to think of it but there it is. Let's face it, any ambitious young player is liable to set his sights rather higher than Margate FC no matter how highly we rate the club.

We do need to look at the bigger picture.

If Keith Piper and Gary Lever have put in loads of money where has it all gone?

Did Trott just waste it all?

Does anybody really know if they have put any of their own money into the club? I mean you would have thought if somebody was putting a lot of money into a club you would see a better ground and team.
