GETTING NERVOUS....

Recommended Posts

Cant help feeling that as each hour goes by that something, somewhere is happening to cause EUFC a large problem. No new player speculation(other than STONEY)or any concrete statements that L.D. is not going to CUFC.I know that a 'fluffy' denial has been given but doesnt hold water as far as I am concerned.Who could blame him though if he does go.And who would replace him? I am not being the proverbial 'doom n gloom' merchant here I've just got feeling about it all.

Thanks Gaz, thats called 'throwing a drowning man a lawnmower'. Had'nt quite got to the square one bit yet.Only made it so far to 'LD walks and PTT implemented'. Cant think past that for sobbing uncontrollably at present. Is worrying though, what a calamity could befall all concerned.Having said that I am thinking positevly and have cut down on the copious amounts of medication until good news breaks...............?

I think you need to get a life, what is going to happen is going to happen...why do you feel that their needs to be statements to make you feel better and yes you are being a doom and gloom merchant.

Lets wait for the season to start, then hopefully we can start talking about Football, a lack of Fleet action is obviously getting to some people, whatever happens I will still go down to Stonebridge Road and support the team, I personally preferred it when this site was talking about action on the pitch and not stupid Hearsay.

Forget him, Ronks. Sometimes it's hard to believe we are all on the same side - even the MYFC chaps and chappesses.

I honestly think most people are a little bit concerned at the moment, not with the squad, but with things off the pitch - especially with pre season training starting soom and the first freindlies only 3 weeks away.

Ronks..

A.What do you envisage this large problem to be?

B. Maybe the club are in talks with new players and have made know announcements yet.

C.The club made an announcement about Liam Daish, what else could they possibly have done.

D. Why speculate on who would replace him when he hasn't gone?

Wasn't a personal attack on you as I dont know you so how could I attack you, just feel that speculation like that is Fruitless as none of those situations have occured.

I personally feel the Future is bright, looking forward to next season and pushing for automatic promotion.

It's the annual problem with the close season. Gone are the days when 'no news is good news' - now it seem that this has been replaced with 'no news so there must be a shed load of s**t happening in the background!'. Que sera sera.

I can understand the nervousness.

As is usual at this time of year, most other clubs in the league appear to be signing new players in the hope that they will be strengthening their playing squads for the coming season ...everywhere that is except at Stonebridge Road. Where traditionally things are done in a different way (ie leave supporters wondering what the hell is going on and then signing a number of players either at the last minute or after/during the friendlies have started)

People are worried that Liam might go. JM ws on RK talking about it.

If he were to leave, ordinarily not a huge problem. In our case, the new encumbant would not only have to finalise the second half of the squad, but get to know the entire squad's strengths, weaknesses and foibles in sufficient time to make meaningful reports for the 30,000 to pick the team.

Quote from the Reporter article - "Further discussions with Peter Hawkins are also set to take place today with a new deal "pretty close" to completion."

That sounds like good news as well - lets face it, most seasons we've lost half our squad by now - ths season, the only 2 who've gone that we really wanted to keep are Bostwick & McPhee - and both would probably have stayed had it not been for Mr Westley & family commitments respectively.
