Another pre season of playing lower league opposition. Its probably to give our team of reserve players a chance of getting something from the game. Another missed opportunity to get a few more people through the turnstiles. Absolutely nothing to encourage people to come to Hartsdown.

Those friendly games against Ramsgate would have struggled to reach the 1000 mark. All 4 league games against eachother have been poor specticles really and i don't think people would have paid money for what is essentially a pointless game and if we won, you would say it's only a friendly the league game is where it counts and vice versa if we won. So there was no bragging rights in it either.

 

I hope we manager to get a good friendly fixture soon though.

Well I'd say theres four friendly spots left at the most for us so theres still a chance we could get a decent fixture.

decent tests for the side i would have thought.

certainly cray will be among the favourites for promotion,and i should think are alot better than the side we currently have assembled.

 

Whitstable improved towards end of season.

 

Sides one div below, arguably will be raising their game and give a better test than playing teams from a league above who lower their game.

Good fixtures then imo-but yes-one fixture against maybe a conf national side would not go amiss.

Yes, I'm not sure a match against a professional team who play 'nice' football would be much of a preparation for the hoof 'n' hope of the Ryman League (though the revenue would have been nice).

I can see what you mean Steve but I would hope these people would at least see what these youngsters can do first because I can guarantee you that 100% committment will be shown by them, unlike some last season.
