Favourite Lee leaves Billericay

Lee is a top bloke and a top player but I think it fair to say that because of his knees, the amount of full games he was likely to play would've been limited. That doesn't mean to say he couldn't of had an influence on our season because I think he had lots to offer the club.

 

But there you go. We all have our favorite players but they do move on. They leave us with some top memories but football games and leagues are not won on memories. Jason and Grant have done more than enough to cover the position Lee played in and there is still work to do. We're entering a new era for the club, with enough new players to call it a new squad. Those that predict our performance in the coming season and, point to one particular player, have obviously either forgotten that it's a game played between two sides of 11 players or to the fact that we have Matt Game, Jamie Dormer and Joe Flack returning to us. Still, I'm quite happy for those that display a greater knowledge of the Non League set up than mine, to write us off. We have 10 months of hard graft in front of us and it's graft, not words and b*llshit that wins games.

 

As for Lee, My wish is for him to do well at Hornchurch and for Hornchurch to look after him, because in whatever capacity he is used, he is an asset.

Thats right Gazz, and the next 10 mths will tell, I for one look forward to see Lee in our team, but as you well know bu**sh1t rules.........
