some of the reserves/ u18s would not cut it in the 1st team they need more xperiance playing at the reserves befor they step up. for instant chris lewis needs to be alot stronger he is a good footballer but to me he wont cut it... shane brown is so much better than him his srtonger, faster lacks in confidece but nothing wevo can sort out. sam cliff is a quality player still young so can only get better and the rest of the lads are ok

As I am a supporter of MFC I think this thread should read differently, i.e. NOT "Players that wont cut it", but players that deserve, no NEED our support and confidence. I know the last few months have been difficult people but come on lets not slate players before they have even taken to the field of play. To say that I too am a little bit edgy with the build up of the team would be true, but I'll still pay to get in and support them through thick & thin, if as Im hoping they prove all doubters wrong then fantastic, but until they do fall flat on their a@rses lets get behind em eh!!!!

Im all for these lads coming through into the 1st team but as you say Danny , flat on their a@rses , is how its going to be , we all know they will work there socks off on the day but i feel we still need that wealth of experience to get us through this season and we still need a good spine running through the center of the squad so we can build the rest of these lads in and around it , pre-season is getting closer and no spine in my eyes yet , im not doubting anyone but we need a nucleaus and there can`t be to many desent players around to fill the all important gaps that we have .

If the final squad is going to be as it is now then jumping from kinder garden to uni in one go is going to prove to be to much for some of the new young lads , the Ryman Prem is going to be a fast up beat league this yr so the stamina the younger lads will need is going to be way to much for some , others will excell im sure by reading the posts of others on here .

Lets hope that Barry can grab a few lads that have the no how and passion the club needs then he will be half way there to suceeding . Up the Gate .
