Tim Cole Signs

Recommended Posts

I think we've made three very good signings so far with maybe one or two more to come. Cole is a quality player and we've done well to get him.

PS I think he played right back when we had him on loan.

Quality signing for us, remember he did very well in his loan spell. Joined us during a period when a combination of Calder's annual end of season clear out and a rash of injuries left us short of options. Think he was coming back from a serious injury and Daggers wanted to give him some games. Not sure about RB though, JL, I've got a suspicion he played as one of a back 3 during one of Calder's back 5 experiments!

Fantastic signing by the management team of Jason and Grant who have been very clever by getting a more varied age of players in. He (tim cole) may be 31 but he will have a lot of experience which is absoulutely crucial to have in your defensive back line and we are now getting quality players, but also a quantity of players so if a injury blitz hits the squad we will not suffer like we did at time during the past season. (hopefully)

Welcome Tim hope you enjoy playing in the blue shirt with the Billericay Town FC badge on it.

Simon, is right, Tim did really well for us in his short time at New Lodge on loan - he definitely played as a centre-back, be it as half of a pair or one of three four or five... He is also a damn decent fellow off the pitch - I did his wedding disco a couple of years back at The Reid Rooms !

He could've left for a number of reasons...

...perhaps mid table Conference South is just not ambitious enough? Maybe our managers convinced him that next season we'll be more than the play off's? Maybe he didn't like his previous club? Maybe he likes ours?

Maybe, just maybe, the grapes are turning sour in your vine yard? Who knows...but basing our season upon "an ageing, injury prone, defender", we are not...

as I'm sure you have read on other threads....and if you haven't, take the time, kick back, have a cuppa, a bikkie and illuminate whilst you ruminate.

Old Ilfordian, last season we had so many injuries, great cup run, lost our manager and was sitting at the bottom of the league, then to find our selfs back in the play off positions was a great come back i don't think many teams in the con south would have made it like we did, however your right, for the first time in four seasons we never made the play offs, but i would have settled for the position we ended up in so overall Billericay done well, which brings me up to date we have a very young side and with someone like Tim Cole whos been around the balance of the team can only improve, for Tim you have to take a step back to go two steps forward and with a team like Billericay there is a very good chance he will make those two steps.BF
