Please can someone tell me how to gt a picture next to my name.

Your brother knows how to do that stuff. I'm sure that he will help you if you ask. That's what brothers are for.

Looks like he wasn't much help then.

 

Try clicking on 'Profile' (at the top of the screen) then 'View/Update Profile' then scroll down to where it says 'Avatar Image'. Click on 'Select a different avatar image' and either choose one from those displayed or type in the URL (the http://www thing) of the picture you want.

 

Don't forget to press 'Update Profile' (right at the bottom of the page) afterwards.

 

There, easy peasy wasn't it.
