At the AGM meeting tonight - Takeley was the only additional club - possibility of Clacton but that won't be known for at least another week.

Just heard that bethnal green utd have been knocked back by the fa, after asking to join the esl.

well run club with good quality players, great financial backing and the use of mile end stadium.

Wadham Lodge FC as well - the opportunity of the ESL having 19-20 clubs was there for the begging and all knocked back, finally, after weeks of wrangling, by the FA yesterday afternoon. Could have been Bethnal Green United, Ilford, Wivenhoe Town, Wadham Lodge In addition to that, a rule has been added to say that no club in the future can ever groundshare just to get promotion to a Step 5 league. One other club of great significance in the big picture are appealing a decision by the FA so could come our way but I despair at even getting any hopes up !

 

A tremendous amount of time and effort has gone into trying to increase this League only to be thwarted by such unbelievable decisions. End of rant but no doubt provoking discussion that I regret I cannot add anymore too !

The FA is a joke!There are a set of rules for some leagues up North that play on park pitches and others for us.Also this Ryman league keeps taking teams from our league but doesn't give anything back!

You can only go so far in taking, but sooner or later you got to give something back.

Your best and constant Efforts are much publicised by others LC...just a shame that we keep receiving knock backs!

 

Would be great to have a 20 team Senior League. Keep the faith, one day. Fingers crossed Clacton join. Be a Nice day out.

Would just like to say thanks to the league chairmen for the help in Bethnal Green joining the ESL yes we where knocked back by the FA but we are appealing, cant believe they knocked us back we have everything in place to be a well run club and have huge backing in are community, its a shame but less see what happens with an appeal.
