Building work starts at DFC??

Recommended Posts

Tony is the director of football, I was asking about the director of coaching. If they are both Directors of the ltd co I hope they have seen the accounts and taken some advice.

On the "WE" front I am querying if/when JR's posts are the clubs views or his own, with particular reference to the anti council slant whilst two-party negotiations are in progress over the lease.

The newspaper report on the appointment of Tony Webb indicates that he is a director of the Ltd. Co.

Thank you JC ! That answers that question.

Peter Augustine is the other person involved, who I imagine TSF is referring to. He will have overall responsibility for youth coaching, which he is admirably qualified for.

Incidently, these are the Council offices in question, which stand above the library previously shown which were the Council offices before the new ones were built.

Are you hinting the lease might be signed sealed and delivered tomorrow JR?

There was a meeting between the Club and MVDC last Friday. There is another one in progress at Pippbrook as I type, which I understand the Surrey FA are attending.

I dont blame the club for trying to get the best deal, but brinkmanship doesnt always work, especially with the clock ticking for both parties.

The council and club have been discussing the lease since 1991, there must be precedent with Leatherhead FC, River Lane etc etc.

The club are leasing a ground in a lovely setting with a paying tenant, a freehouse clubhouse in the town centre and a big car park, all of that wont come cheap.

The club have said theres not too much wrong with the ground, and have sponsors for refurbishing the clubhouse and "infrastructure" anyway.

The council have said they have a common aim with the club to provide a quality football facility in the town.

I am amazed the club and council havent sorted a lease in time for tonights agm, I really hope this doesnt go back to court.

MY MISTAKE.

I've just heard the meeting was for 3.00pm today, so it's now in progress.

I'll post anything if I hear anything later
