The Ataturk Stadium, May 25th 2005, Liverpools Champions League victory over AC Milan, possibly one of the greatest and most exciting games ever. The hairs are standing up as I think about it now, what a night. I was nearly barred from Saks at half time, then nearly barred again when Alonso equalised. How we came back from that I will never know, but the gods were looking down on Liverpool during that tournament thats for sure. I was doing some work in a CPS building the next day with this stinking hangover and I rang my wife telling her to get the boys out of school so we could drive up to Liverpool for the home coming, she wasnt having a bar of it, so I finished up early and went home to watch a bus being driven round Liverpool at 2mph on Sky sports news, again what a day.

The gods looks down on Liverpool every bllody week. Luckiest, Jammiest outfit known to man.

I jumped on the O-Lucky-Liverpool band wagon a few weeks back praying that you'd smash Chealsea at the Bridge to stop those with new found glory getting to Moscow......and typical, the gods didn't smile that night.

Come the Final, and the entertainment value of watching John Terry in emotional agony was worth the semi-final dissapointment for me.

If i could be at any game ever........Chester v CIFC semi-final trophy. One of my best days out with the club, so good - I'd like to do it all again.

True, in recent years they have had there fair share of luck, but back in the 70s & 80s, they were class as the trophy cabinet will tell you!!!

Irrelevant whether they've won the league - just looking back over past 10 years or so theres been countless examples of Liverpool really leveraging their heritage - particularly with officials. And why not ?

And I suspect they wont be winning the league for a little while longer, what with Chelski's recent appoinment. Is the prem currently just a 2-horse race? (although that French outfit are always in with a shout)
