Kingstonian & Raynes Park Vale

Kingstonian Football Club are delighted to announce a collaboration with Raynes Park Vale FC to assist in the development of players for the mutual benefit of both clubs.

Kingstonian players will be able to play for either the Raynes Park Vale 1st XI in the Combined Counties League or their 2nd XI in the Suburban League.

Manager Alan Dowson rubberstamped the plans tonight, "This is a significant arrangement for both clubs. They do things very well there and I'm very impressed with their manager Mark Williams and everyone else I've met.

"It's an opportunity for me to send over some of my players who need games, and also for Adrian Withers to introduce his talented Under 18's to adult football as and when theyre ready.

"I now just hope that we draw them in the FA Cup as I'll pull all the lads out for that game! In all seriousness, its going to play an important part in our playing setup and we'll also work with them off the field as Adrian Withers and Rod Wallace will assist with the setup."

To mark the collaboration the clubs will meet in a pre-season friendly at Raynes Park Vales' Grand Drive home on Tuesday 5th August, kick off 7.45pm.

Didn't the FA ban feeder club arrangements in the fifties?

Who are the prem sides going to be playing?

one week half the kingstonian squad,

one week whoevers left at RPV after they've all got P!ssed off for keep getting dropped for a Ks player coming back from suspension /injury or because they want to try a youth player.

is "chris coleman" going to be told by Ks who he has to pick every game ?

is it dated april 1st?

Thats interesting as K's had been looking to tie up exactly the same deal with Cobham for the coming season, until the boardroom and managerial departures earlier this year basically put paid to it.

The K's U18 team used to play their home matches at Cobhams ground and so that was there "in" at the club.

From what I heard the Cobham Reserves would essentially just be K's reserves which is why the new boardroom and managerial setup didn't want to go along with it!

It will work until "a K's" player complains that he was sub and a "Real" RPV player started in front of him.

Sadly it will only take this happening a couple of times and thats all it will take for a break down in the relationship.

K's will want to know why their player wasn't playing.

Hopefully it wont be the case and they'll have a successful relationship cuddle

in all seriousness is whats happening here within the rules/spirit?

someone whos not played at Ks for a while waltzes across to the ski slope, says Im a right back, me, plays three games and back to Ks?

and rpv right back who hasnt had a kick for a fortnight gets a call "see you Wednesday night away at Reading"?

you may have noticed im not a fan of groundsharing but team sharing, its a load of old rollox

Ks Under 18 manager has gone to RPV as Reserve Team Manager, possibly RPV reserves were struggling and this is a way that benefits both parties, not many Under 18s will be playing CoCo football I wouldnt have thought?
