The premier league clubs I mentioned above already have much better grounds and in rugby league terms there is Harlequins(used to be London Bronco's), Kent Ravens(play at PP, I believe there are in the 4th tier anyway) and Greenwich Admirals(who I believe are in the 4th/5th tier).

Unless the site is Gravesend Rugby club {IPM}, which will include the old Fleetway Printers (Harmsworth) they would have to accomodate them then. just guessing

Is there enough space for a football ground there? And Gravesend have 5 teams and a lot of youth teams, so a football ground there couldn't provide the pitches. Although Gravesend seem to be very ambitious at the moment, recently being promoted into London 2(equilavent to CS). A town centre location like that would be amazing, I still think Dartford attract the fans because of its central locality and easy transport links(it cant be their football, haha). Anyway, I very much doubt that this is the case, and is all speculation. I personally think the site would be in the Ebbs valley somewhere.

If they utilised both bits of land, I would say there is enough room, and enough for parking. access maybe a problem, no real major roads in that area. all speculation. Ebbsfleet station area would be the obvious choice as IPM might be outside the three mile catchment area.

Blackheath Rugby Club pioneered the way football and rugby is played today. They were part of the FA in 1963 but as they couldn't have the rules as they wanted, scrimmaging, hacking and stuff, they left to form Rugby. They should have stayed around. Scrimaging was still allowed up until the league days in 1888.

That is one good looking stadium! I'm impressed with your terraces, i miss them from the stadiums i usually attend. Most danish stadiums is all-seaters, but a few clubs still have them. The most important thing is that you do not get a running track! A running track destroys the atmosphere and you will never get an athletic event that will fill up the stadium. Another important thing is that the stadium will have roof above all seats and terraces. The stadium which my favorit club plays, have a running track and a roof which only covers about 50% of the seats. If its a windy day with rain, the whole main tribune (is that what it's called in English) gets wet.

Oh, as a last, last thing. You should only sell your stadium name as a last resort! My club, AGF Aarhus, sold their name to a local energy company called NRGi (pronounced energi, which is Danish for energy), so it is now called NRGi Park.

Cant see it being at Gravesend Rugby Club as that is rather a non Ebbsfleet location as it other side of town.

Theres two sites I know off near to where we are. One I was told was a likely location. My cousins husband does all this bore and rpessure testing to see viability of putting building , structures and so on on reclaimed and marsh land. One site he worked on he was bore testing to see where the water tables were. He was told that a leisure or sports facility would be on that site. Its now going to be houses. Apparantly the water table is near the surface and not suitable ofr bigger structures or office blocks.

The other site hasnt even been looked at by his company yet as it is yet to be earmarked for any development and he tells me it is long and too narrow for anything of any use. Likely to be a retail park.

Im seeing him later and see if he is looking at any more sites. Obviousley I wont disclos them.

At last something new on the new stadium. And I have to say I am glad that it will not look like another bland put it up today take it down tomorrow type of ground. If we do get more or less what we see in the sketches it would be better than what I imagined it would be.

Oh and surprise surprise the Dartford lot are taking the right piss by saying it is too good for us and that it will never be built. Man do they reek of the stench of envy or what.

Yeah and our new ground will look like a proper ground and not a glorified bus shelter. I bet up there they do not know if they are watching a football match or waiting for a bus.

Now after that comment I wonder how long it will take one of them to bite either on here or on their forums^^

The only thing I know is, that just before our victorious trip to Wembley. I popped down the ground to pick up some shirts etc. while I there I was asked by someone, if I had also seen Brian Kilcullen along the old cement road. I had noticed a few guys, but had taken no real notice. He went on to say he had seen Kilcullen there along with some others looking at the piece land, where the large crane has been for several weeks/months taking earth samples. The same piece of land has also had the sides banked up with earth. could be something or could be nothing.

It was good to see that the democratically elected MyFC Society Board have been consulted. Somehow I doubt that they were the first in line to share this information though!

The 3 mile radius seems quite some distance. Perhaps it will be built beneath the horse or whatever "icon" is chosen to represent the area. It would be more than ironic if the location for the ground isn't actually in the Ebbsfleet valley afterall....!

I haven't heard, Les, but this is bigger than what they were discussing a couple of months ago. The first talk I heard was for a stadium roughly the same size as Stonebridge Road (5,000 maximum). Now the talk is of 5,000 - 8,000 seats initially, with room enough to meet Championship standards.
