Our leader is officially AWOL.....and now things have died on here. Where's all the speculative talk about players signing on and pre season matches etc etc?

Regrettably any honest views and opinions I give about local (to Dorking) football are just taken as criticism, and the bunker gets dug another foot deeper.

 

As teffers and bjr are representatives of their clubs they dont want to comment too much on what i say, which is understandable.

 

in truth on this fans forum there are probably not enough plain fans.

 

Drummer boy, me, trs and thats about it.

 

You are all players officials coaches etc. so you dont want to get involved in the more controversial areas.

 

Groundsharing for a few bucks v proper community clubs with youth and reserves sections.

 

Playing local players and accepting the playing level that gives the club v paying a few quid to get promoted.

 

Staying at the level your own ground allows you v renting anywhere to allow promotion.

Greetings TSF, I try not to comment on any club in the CCL let alone my own.

 

I may speculate on clubs regarding promotion ect or new clubs coming into the league but out of respect to my club and the clubs I go to during the season I do not get overly envoled in the politics.

 

I'd agree we need more "real" fans on here, may be the site needs more publicity as I expect most people hear about it via word of mouth and are missing out on a great site.

once me and dorking dave have said for the eleventyfourth time Dorking needs a proper community club , youths 8-18, reserves, proper membership clubhouse, local people more involved and everyone else has said zzzzz and get a life, thats the topic run if noone else comes on and says what they think of it.

 

I ask questions about the league rules noone wants to comment because of vested interests or boat rocking.

 

and why the hell Horley are still allowed in the combined counties instead of the west sussex village league I dont know.

It's not just the proper village club line through TSF, if an answer or reply is given you dont want to accept it.

 

We would all want to have fantastically well run clubs, financially secure with our own bright and shinny ground but its not the case for most clubs, its a battle to find people to help and alot of it is not just money, finding people to do the real sh!t jobs, miss out on watching the game cus they are doing the gate or tea bar or looking for the match ball thats gone over and getting feck all recognition.

 

Every club could improve some more than others but your way of continious questioning rubs people up the wrong way, sorry to say it, but being honest.

 

It's hard work TSF and when people just want to critise the whole time I wonder why I bother, I'd get a lot less flack from the wife, spend more time with my kids and have free evenings to myself !!!!

ok teffs, would you have a comment on how local youth football is run in mole valley?

 

If there are three senior club in the area, Leatherhead Bookham and Dorking, do you think they should all have their own youth setups, work more together with the better players, or leave it all to the likes of brockham badgers, predators or dorking saints etc and hope to attract them when they are 16 or 17?

 

I think the three clubs have very different approaches, and Leatherhead were very succesful this season.
