Grays 1 - 0 Billericay

Well that was a bit of a disapointment after beating Canvey last Monday. We had one shot throughout the whole match, which went over the bar. Our ex players; Roy (Who came off), Martin, Danny and Willo weren't that impressive, but neither were any of ours really. Lets just hope we can end the season on a positive note by beating Hampton next week.

Does anyone know what was wrong with JJ?

Typical end of season fare really - Grays set out to make sure they didn't lose (to ensure safety) by flooding the midfield which they accomplished. Grays effectivley were playing one up front for much of the game and got the game when Savidge (who had a decent game otherwise) failed to make his clearance - the ball was crossed to Leaburn who toe poked home.

Thought Grays out muscled us, they had a lot of big physical players something we are certainly short of at the moment. Only one decent shot all game was disappointing.

Quite amusing to see the Grays players celebrations at the end of the game, anyone would have thought they had won the league rather than just avoid relegation with possibly the most highly paid players in the league (apart from a couple of clubs).

Poor game for us, no hint of passing Football, just the hoof. I thought Savidge was poor, Russell and Ollie were strong. Gary and Chris had no hope of anything.

We had our crowd celebration last week after C*nv*y, Grays quite rightly had theirs. They have under acheived but hats of to loyal supporters.

Looking forward to a drink next week

Thought we looked very jaded after mondays exertions. Agree that we were out done by Grays physical approach (who themselves were shockingly poor considering the money they've splashed around). Still, can't complain, we still beat the Canvey after all!

P.S. Whoever passed this [censored]-hole for an A grade should be strung up!!

And what the hell happened to their groundsman? The pitch was a disgrace. Uncut, unrolled and a cross between a ploughed field and a beach!! That's why we played the "hoof" and with their defence being such a size we really didn't stand a chance.

Still - they have no excuse for being as poor as they were.

Nice to see Russell Penn "mug" Lee Williams time and time again!

After Heybridge and Chesham both won tonight and Boreham lost yesterday, Heybridge are now in the box seat as far as avoiding the drop is concerned. Boreham look likely to be relegated as they are 2 points behind Heybridge with one game to play. Chesham are 1pt behind Heybridge so if the swifts win on sat then Chesham and Boreham will be down no matter what their results are.
