The Directors are delighted to announce the appointment of Terry Yorath as the Clubs Director of Football. Terry's appointment will bring football management experience to the team and assist Barry and Paul to settle into their new management roles.

Terry joins the team with responsibilities to direct and take overall responsibility for the restructure and development of the clubs long term future.

Terry's contract terms require him to relocate to live in Thanet and fans will have the opportunity to welcome him to the Club tomorrow evening, when he joins the Directors for questions in The Hartsdown from 7pm.

A welcome in the hillsides to TY then.

Obviously the press release was made today to ensure that Margate usurped the news of Mourihno joining Inter Milan.

This is much more important.

I really hope he works well and is supportive of Barry Ashby.

Any truth in the rumour that Yorath is already using his influence to ensure that we get Katherine Jenkins doing the pre-match song of Blues Blues Blues; Catherine Zeta Jones to be behind the bar in the club house;and Gabbi to serve the the hot dogs.

It makes a change to see news coming out of the club BEFORE the local papers get hold of it.(Last two). All at our request might I add.

I was getting pretty narked at having to rely on the local for information.Well done the club & lets hope this continues.

Now all we need is something "positive" about the ground, something substantial & true.No more fobbing off stories.
