ESL prem and league one

there is talk of the ESL having 2 leagues next season with two teams going down from the prem and two comming up from league 1 can anyone else confirm this

Im sure the day this happens our league chairman will be one happy person.

Also it will make the prem league much more competitive as teams towards the bottom will have to fight like mad to avoid the prospect of relegation.

Im sure managers players and fans of esl football will look forward to the day this happens however id like to see a full premier league with 20 teams before anything like this comes about.

Here is the latest post from Rsouthendian on the TK forum today re this thread which should clarify the subject a little.

"........ the matter of a Step 6 division in Essex is well and truly in hand for 2009/2010... it's taken the League hierarchy over eight years to get to this stage and I know one man who will not give up on it despite his hair turning from brown to white in the interim ! .........

........building up the structure from below is now a " must" rather than a " hoped for " scenario ... it will be sorted in this coming season and then the talk of next close season, can hopefully shift from " Essex/Kent " to appropriate Leagues for Reserve football.
