I still think it should be offside as the player who was supposedly playing him onside was not even on the field.

Therefore not interfering with play.

article 11.4.1. of the refereeing code states 'an opposing player cannot be offside when one of the last two defenders has left the field of play'.

 

so this got the linesman off the hook. personally, i reckon he didn't spot the fella and called it wrong, but there's the get out.

 

'interfering with play' only counts for the attacking players o...

have noticed the segregation seems a bit lacks plenty of orange and blue mixed up last nite good to see, could england manage that i doubt it ,poland and germany didnt let us down they had a good old tear up after the game nice to each other side by side in the ground then outside wallop

I just reckon last nights linesman knew what cheats the eyeties are and panucci was probably play acting like every italian player does.He was running around ok 2 mins later anyway!
