AFCW sign.....

NGU player!!

I see on the AFCW site that they have payed a small fee to sign 18yo centre back Michael Peacock from NGU!! I didn't think he stood out that much when playing them last season (esp in our 3-3 draw), but hard to base it on 2 games.

Is he really good enough to jump to Conference South, even if he has been signed as "one for the future". Although fair play and good luck to him!

Gussy, what did you think of your time playing with him.

Surely you meant - Gussy, what did you think of your time watching him from the bench

Ahem!!!

Michael "Schmeichel" Peacock the Kid that smashed it past you from about 20 yds Jurg grin

To be fair he's got it all good in the air on the deck reasonable pace and brave, he just needs to believe in himself as much as others do and he'll be fine ... the best of luck to him nice kid.

Ha Ha Jurgmeister is that a bite smile

He's brave so that's a start hopefully he'll get better with better players around him which i'm sure he will, all he needs to improve on his decision making and positional play.

Well done to Schmeichel.

I have known him for years as he used to play in the same youth side as my lad and you always knew that he could play at a higher level. He is a fantastic player and he has a great appetite for the game and it was touched on in the earlier thread that he just needs to believe in himself a little more. I don't get the opportunity to watch him play at NGU so not quite sure how well he has progressed in the past few seasons however I see him quite often and he is thrilled to have been given this opportunity. Lets not forget that one of non-leagues best managers is at the helm at AFCW (Terry Brown), so Schmeics can't be doing too badly.

I do know for a fact that he had a professional club also look at him this season and although nothing materialised, they are still monitoring his progress.
