I think they will still be in Hoddesdon...

 

They are a good side but need to play football as opposed to the long ball hit and hope they played towards the end of the season. Top 3 again at least.

Talking of Hatfield Town there is a feature on them in this weeks Welwyn and Hatfield Times:

 

HATFIELD Town have been officially accepted into the Molten Spartan South Midlands League Division One for the 2008/09 campaign.

 

Town finished six points clear of Metropolitan Police Bushey last season to win the Herts Senior County League Premier Division title.

 

Their promotion hinged on getting the all-clear from the South Midlands League committee.

 

Now they have been accepted into the league, manager Trevor Lloyd will be busy planning for what will be a testing campaign for the side based at Herns Lane.

 

Chairman Ted Collie said: "We were welcomed into the league, and now we can plan for the future.

 

"Things are progressing quite well with the council as we look to further progress this club, and I am looking forward to next season."

 

Hatfield Town will continue to play at WGC FC's Herns Lane ground for the forthcoming season.

 

And there was more good news as AFC Hatfield Town, who are the club's Under-18s and third team combined, have been accepted to play in Division One of the HSCL.

 

They will play their home games at Birchwood.

 

Hatfield Town A, who were the club's third string last season, have left the Hertford & District League after one term.

Have they done a Baldock Town then who, if I recall, covered their backs by applying to join a number of League's last season and messed a lot of people about in the process including the SSML when they got a better offer.
