Best Chant?

Recommended Posts

Well I like my 'We all dream of a team of Chris McPhee's' masterpiece but I'm not so sure others do.

My Raphael Nade chant to the tune of 'Baby Give It Up' never got going either. Who knows, if more people had joined in maybe we would have seen more of a return from the lad.

The chant of 'Big John, Big John, Big John...' which I gave birth to in Stafford when he got a 90th minute winner, must be up there after the season he's had.

And a special mention here to Dicko and Ian, the Founder/Prophet duo of 'Bozzy Bozzy Bozzy... Oi Oi Oi!'. If he hadn't left I'd hand it over to them now.

In all seriousness, my favourite is 'Oh When The Fleet'. All it takes is one brave person to start it and everyone joins in. We need more singers this season though, the atmosphere's been lacklustre for quite a bit of the season.

I agree there Kayne, wheres the use in about 25 ebbsfleet fans singing out of 1200?! We need to get a chant that everyone will sing! My grand-dad said he thought the atmosphere inside wembley was electric..i dont think the same, we could hardy hear the usual chants from the back, and all to sing along to was the occasional Ebbsfleet! We need better next season! I think the best chant was Que Sera, as well as "You are a pikey, an Essex pikey!" On nights out, my friends thought they were hilarious and we were all singing it on the way home laugh

See you all next year for some hardcore fleet chanting!! To many more times of losing my voice for my love of Ebbsfleet United!! (Y)

I think it's very good - although my personal favourite remains 'Take Me Home'.

I kind of liked -

You Ain't Got No Sacha

You Ain't Got No Sacha

No Opinel No Opinel

There was also one that Okuz and his mates were singing at York about Liam Daish and the benefits that would accrue for him if we won at Wembley. How are the wife and the settee, Okuz?

trouble is the singing will not gather momentum all the whilst there are a few hanging around a drum on them seats, it looks daft too. remember how it looked standing in the plough end, and a lot more otheres joined in too, try standing in the side again, aldershot made lots of noise from there. maybe also families may gather in the seats. it could encourage more families to attend that dont want to listen to loud swearing songs(just a thought so dont shoot me down)plus with a larger gathering in one place there is always more chance others will join in the banter.

UPFLEET I think that's a good point about the seats. All the while there are groups of 14 year olds near the drum who don't sing, there isn't room for others to come and join in. Plus many may be driven away as they prefer to stand and watch football. I think a move to the side for a few games is a good plan, just to see if the noise picks up.
