Right seeing that I'm the only one on here at the moment and you lot are still in the bar celebrating, I thought that it would be up to me to announce to the world this great achievement.

 

When the eighth went in I was chanting 'are you watching Bedford?', the ninth 'we want ten' and the tenth, well I was going ballistic.

 

I wonder who should take the match ball home. Personally I'd give it to Bertie. It's not often you come on as a substitute with twenty minutes to go and score a hattrick.

 

Sorry MKJames, I really feel for you mate, but we were awesome today. Didn't get a chance to speak to you but I think I spotted you in the crowd. I really hope Enfield can sort their problems out. It is embarassing when a once proud club loses 10 -1 but you'll be back.

 

What a way to end the season.

 

Boylan, fourth goal, quality

 

Lewis Lilley definitely one for the future, great run that set up Bertie's third.

 

Proth's goal, was that a fluke or did he mean it?

You were quick to tight to buy a drink in the Bar, Me I am already drunk on the yellow champagne that is Canvey banging in TEN.

 

Couple of questions

Is Ollie the most generous player in the world or did his bottle go when one on one.

 

How many times did their keeper step out of the box with the ball.

 

what was that fat geezer all about, he would not get in the Owl & Pussy Cat b side.

Ollie is generous, he was thinking about rounding the 'Keeper and slotting home but noticed Bertie in a better position.

 

The 'Keeper stepped out of the box everytime he kicked the ball, but the ball wasn't in his hands everytime. He threw it out the box then kicked it as it was coming down most of the time, but on occasions he did handball.

 

The fat geezer I believe was their Manager Terry Back.

 

Boylan's 4th was definately Goal of the Season, Michael Lee did superbly when he came on and Lewis Lilley showed some good touches too.

 

Protheroe's goal was not a fluke, he meant that. He was just pure class when crossing the ball and placing shots, like that. I hope's he's staying next year.

 

Match ball goes to Boylan, Canvey's 99th, 100th, 101st, 103rd plus his 42nd, 43rd, 44th and 45th. Golden Boot Award.

 

Well done to Jeff Minton winning the Supporters' Player of the Year, hope he stays too.

 

Great post match atmosphere and some interesting conversations too!!!

Well said, i think Ollie was generous as I was no more than about 5/6 yards from him when he had the presence of mind to see a better position how many have that proffesionalism

You really need to work on your wind up techniques!! You're getting as bad as Cum on Ricay! At least his messages have punctuation in them now!! Today's result at Park Lane has nothing to do with you, or are you just bitter because you lost to the Canvey rejects?

On for fun, at our (the fans) expense <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> Although to be honest, it didn't make any difference. Congrats Canvey on a vintage display!

I thought the Enfield fans were very good in clapping some of the superb goals we scored. I stood with you lot at the Grays v Enfield game earlier in the year cos we didn't have a game, and you take your football the right way - win, lose or draw you enjoy it! Good luck next year, you may need it!!!

Yeah nice one MKJ. I know who you are now! Good luck next season, a club with the traditions of Enfield doesn't deserve to be in Ryman Div 1. Hopefully a rich benefactor will come in, take over and sort out a new ground in Enfield and the fans will come back and you will be back amongst the Ryman League big boys. Just hang on in there!!

Enfield provided little resistance throughout, but you still need to have the quality to score the ten goals. Well done boys and it’s a result that would have been noticed countrywide again as it appeared on the TV results printer.

 

Just have to say that Duffers had a good game and thought that Lewis Lilley done well apart from one pass that put them on the offensive. Other than that a very good display. I wonder how he would get on against a better team under more pressure.

I thought it was 81p a goal? 9 divided by 11. I'm crap at Maths but surely it would be 90p just for Canvey's 10?!
