Seems surprising-i suspect JJ leaving was thus not necessarily on money issues-he clearly stated he wanted to stay at margate-i would be surprised if he is getting more at Folkestone than Margate were able to offer him (and suspect that margate offered him nothing.

It seems Ashby is very intent on 'getting his own men'

So thats our 4 'senior'players gone then-Pinnock,Saunders,Mckimm and jackson.

The one 'senior' player left is Haworth-i think many of us believed he would be the 'first to go' but maybe he will be the 'one who stays ' ,and i for one would be more than happy if he did -can't beat an old fashioned bruising centre forward/target man imo at this level

You are right-but did we not say the same thing about a certain Mr pinnock 12 months ago.

Every player has their peak season, and i believe we have witnessed Hockton and pinnock at their peak.

isuspect haworth willl not be staying-but you never know-and if he does stay-maybe next year is his 'peak year in turn ?

As I said on another thread a week or so back:

"when a new manager comes in, possibly with different ideas, is that person going to be happy to be told "here are your players"."
