The ref. was poor,gave away a free kick when it wasnt a pass back(the rule states its only a pass back if it is intentional),missed skins(i think it was him?)getting elbowed in the head,BUT,it doesnt matter because WE'RE STAYING UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great goal by Liam, everyone played well,couple of great stops from wilkers, and we're still in the conference!

 

Mid table easy next year or so i hope anyway.

Beast always pops up when we need him. i think he could have scored the 2 most improtant goals in the clubs history? The injury time winner last year against Hampton putting us top of the RPL, and todays cracker, was very similar to Jacko's thunderbolt at Halifax.

One of the best goals of the season. Who needs Che when the Beast can rifle them home like that? . Who cares about the ref? There always seems to be someone moaning about him, even when we win!

 

Look forward to playing Shrewsbury and Accrington Stanley next year. Just what we need, some nice close away trips.

 

Everyplayer on the pitch today put in a good performance. Great save by Wilkers in the first half one-on-one. Skins put in a blinder with some great tackles. Superb finish by Liam to cap it all off. Even an under par display from Benno didn't harm the great performance by the rest of the lads.

 

Lets see the 1950 fans who turned up today again next season and who knows the playoffs might be in our sights!

FANTASTIC GAME!!! The crowd was electric and the players were, of course, Brilliant.

 

Congrats to all the players, but especially Mr Hatch and the defence, who I thought all played superb.

It would be lovely if even half the extra 1000 or so supporters who turned up today came regularly next season. The atmosphere today was perhaps the best all year! We need more of the same

Thought that it was a close call for MoM today - obviously Liam for his goal and all round hard work, and Nick Burton for another outstanding defensive display - he has certainly got better as the season has gone on.

 

The overall performance didnt match that at Farnborough on Monday but then we couldnt really expect that, given the tension surrounding today - still, we won and we have at least 1 more season in the Conference.

Today was the best performance ( and probably the biggest attendance ) by home fans, but the Daggers match with 700 opposition fans was the biggest gate and the best atmosphere.

An excellent team performance today. I thought that Liam, Jacko and Nick B all had particularly good games. The goal was brilliant! Given the number of goals that we have scored this season we deserved to stay up. After the celebrations are over, we need to consolidate our position ready for next season. Anything could happen and we must not be complacent. For example who would have thought even 3 week ago that Southport would have nose- dived so dramatically out of the Conference! Have a good rest lads and return refreshed to fight the cause for the Fleet next season.

Well, what a relief!

 

I was far more nervous before this game than I was before Bedford this year, but in the end, we succeeded again. A fine goal from Liam (somehow able to continue after colliding with a post!), but we were also superb as a team. I felt we did well to not defend as deep after the goal as we did against Farnborough last week (although Farnborough did have something to play for against us), and Pennock, Burton and Skins had particularly superb games in that regard. Anyone who claims that Burton isn't Conference standard is wrong - he has been superb in the last few games.

 

A brilliant day - and to think that Southport went down having not been in the relegation zone all season until the final day - thank God we didn't suffer the same fate!

For me adrian pennock was the man of the match, i hope he doesn't hang up his boots.

Its hard to look good at the back playing alongside DUKU, but pennock was outstanding.

Why oh why is canvey island still the main topic for our song's. GET OVER IT, MOVE ON, THEY ARE IN THE VERY DISTANT PAST AND THEY WILL STAY THERE ASWELL!!

Anyway, glad to see you're still alive and well in the Conference, always like to see the ex-Ryman boys do well. Dagenham, Farnborough, Gravesend and now Aldershot! All the best to all four teams over next season. I wish I could say we'll join you next year, but I do have my doubts.

CONGRATS TO ALL AT THE CLUB-HARD WORK -BUT FRUITFUL.

I have to keep in touch via the internet, but well worth the effort. I well remember the disastrastrous flirt with the Conference in the past and hope we can do better this time.

Wow...playing Accrington Stanley next season!!!!!!..they went out of business when i was knee high to a goal post at St.Georges, and Roly Edwards wasn't even born......lol.
