1-0's at Wembley

Recommended Posts

First of all, apologies for another late post, Stu. I was thinking of posting one this time last night but thought better of it!

Anyway, back on topic, interestingly (to me anyway!), 5 of the last 6 games at Wembley have finished 1-0:

The League 1 Play-Off Final - Doncaster 1, Leeds 0 - 25 May 2008

Championship Play-Off Final - Bristol City 0, Hull City 1 - 24 May 2008

The FA Cup Final - Portsmouth 1, Cardiff City 0 - 17 May 2008

The FA Vase Final - Kirkham & Wesham 2, Lowestoft Town 1 - 11 May 2008

The FA Trophy Final - Torquay United 0, Ebbsfleet United 1 - 10 May 2008

The FA Cup Semi Final - Barnsley 0, Cardiff City 1 - 6 April 2008

Therefore (although relatively poor odds everywhere - i.e 7-1 at Ladbrokes and 6-1 and 13-2 at Blue Sq) surely it's worth a punt at 1-0 for the Stockport V Rochdale game later today? You heard it here first ;-)

**End of pointless post**

Or if you are feeling brave Liam Dickinson to score first and Stockport to win with following odds.

1-0 30/1

2-0 40/1

2-1 40/1

Stockport have won both league encounters, winning 2-1 and 2-0 with the above striker scoring all 4 goals!
