I was there last night but i haven't seen anyone of ya...they have done really well..they haven't won the County Cup evil because they have been booted out, but that was down to unpaid fines, back in December. applauseI have heard they are joining Thurrock FC as their Essex & Herts ressies side, can anyone confirm please?

what a saddo you are coachie...full of bitterness and bile bred from a life time of losing...if only you could read your posts the way others do....you would surely stop posting..

tony evoli is going to thurrock as reserve team manager and we wish him well in his step upwards...he has earned it...the county cup fandango wasn't an unpaid fine...it was an unpaid fine for an unpaid late fine..and in any event the pelly cup is almost a permanent addition in our bar....we don't begrudge someone lese borrowing it for one season...grin

the under 18's will come of age and move on... the ones colin wants to retain for his first team/capital league squad he will....as always we shall have an under 18's next season as all the teams move up one with their managers and a new under 13's will be arriving under the management of.....!!!grin

in the meantime I'll say it for you...well done tony and the under 18's....!

Hasbeen...it ain't the coaching it's the lasagnes!!! evil

Anyway while in the loo i came across the match programme for the 75th season of football at Hornchurch fc(1923-1998).A game against Romford fc played also as a testimonial match for ex Romford player Brian Skingley.

Extract from A CHAT WITH THE URCHIN......

"A lot of people may look over the history of Hornchurch Football Club and comment that we have not been very successful. Some may agree, and some may disagree, but it all really boils down to how you measure success. If success is measured by how many championships and Cups a club has won,and we have had our moments however fer and far between they are, then maybe that's right.

However,if you measure success by the quality of players we have managed to attract to this club and the youngsters that we have, and still are nurturing, then i would say that we have been very successful. If,again, success is measured by keeping this club running for 75 years then it could be described as miraculous, especially in recent years."

I guess he was Rob Monger or the then chairman Brian Davie or even James A Bradshaw the president, but in all it was a good article. It reminds me of Hullbridge in recent years.... grin
