Buying kit (nothing to do with Knight rider)

It's 1AM and I'm drunk, eating a Bombay bad boy pot noodle. Life doesn't get much better than this.

 

Anyway, on to my question...

 

As some of you may know, I'm a relative newcomer to The Fleet. I saw a few matches many years past, but I hadn't been back for ages.

 

I'm wasn't even a big foootball fan, I supported the same team that all my family supported (West Ham, doing great this year) and had only been to a few football games in my life (an England game, a few Fleet games and a few Charlton games)

 

So this year something happened to me. We came to the first home game of the season for something to do. It wasn't meant to be a regular thing, just something to do when bored. But we got hooked.

 

I've been to all the home games this year, a few away games, and next season I'll go to more. I'm addicted and don't wanna be cured. Win, lose or draw tomorrow, stay up or go down, I'm here for keeps, and I think my friends are the same

 

I think there was supposed to be a question here (bear with me, too much Jack and coke)

 

I want a top. I'd like to buy one tomorrow (or today looking at when you read this). I have no problem with the expense (too bloody much, but that's how =much these things cost). My problem is this... Will there be a new top next season??

 

I'm currently unemployed, hopefully a very temprary thing, but I don't want to shell out 35 odd quid now when there's a new top out in 3 months. I will only be buying 1. If I buy one tomorrow and a new top comes out in the summer, I wont get it, so I'd rather have the new one.

 

Does anyone know if we're changing strip this year?

 

(I realise at this point that I could have just typed the last sentance and that would have been fine, but it took me ages to type it so I'm damned if I'm gonna delete it now, I'm drunk, live with it)

Thanks chrisblanc your post really made me smile when I first read it at around 4 am this morning. You know what it's like when you've got to be up early...you can't get to sleep! Anyway, the thought of you trying to write your message whilst "slightly" inebriated and eating a pot noodle took my mind off the importance of today's game long enough for me to get to sleep.

 

Now getting ready to make the journey down there. Difficult to drive with your fingers crossed and holding you breath!!

By the way, I bought my top today before the game. An away top, 34 quid well spent in my book
