Manor bring in pair of new managers

Comment

SOUTHEND Manor have acted quickly to appoint a new management team following the departure of former boss Steve Sinnett to Ryman One North Great Wakering Rovers.

New joint managers have been appointed in the shape of former Manor coach Russell Faulkner, who worked under Sinnett, and all-conquering White Ensign boss Stroy Nelson.

Faulkner is a level three (UEFA "B") qualified coach who played a major part in the Southchurch Park club's success story in recent years that saw them finish last season sixth with a run-in record of eight wins in 10 games.

Nelson enjoyed a spectacular four seasons at Essex Olympian League Ensign, who last term, not only won the competition's first Premier Division but also took the Essex Premier Cup.

Ryan Karrer will complete the Manor management team, retaining his duties as first team goalkeeper coach.

Said Ensign's Alan Day: "Stroy goes with the very best wishes of our club.

"He's an ambitious man who enjoyed huge success with Ensign during his time here and he's a natural winner."

With Nelson's assistant Dave Chaplin retiring, Ensign will be on the lookout for a new management team themselves next season.

Trials....yucky!

Should be an exciting pre-season then. Not sure who will be coming over, assume the squad of last season as we done really well.

Few additions and then happy days!

Up the Manor!
