Matching shirts & years: Clarification help please

Recommended Posts

I am getting all my shirts Framed and with them a plaque saying what year they are from, however, I am a bit unsure about what order they go in and how many years etc we wore that particular shirt for, so can someone with a good memory please help me with what I've already got...!?

I started supporting when we were wearing the Mister Ham Man shirt with red dotted arms (not the solid red one we wore for Villa in 96, was there one in between?)

I am 80% sure we wore the Shepherd Neame shirt when got promoted at Bedford in 01/02 season, and have also found a photo of Che Stadhart wearing it against Notts County (the one at Priestfield) in December 2000, so I assume we wore that for two seasons?

Was the Scania one before or after promotion? Originally I thought it was before promotion (perhaps the 1999/00 season), but this would leave a gap after promotion... Did we wear the Gladwish Land Sales one for two seasons, before GLSFootball.com? Am I putting the Mister Ham Man Shirt (from when I started supporting) too late? Thinking about it, it's really bad I can't remember all this!

Anyways, this is what I have so far...

1999/00 - Mister Ham Man

2000/01 - Shepherd Neame

2001/02 - Shepherd Neame (Promotion Year)

2002/03 - Scania??

2003/04 - Gravesend Reporter

2004/05 - Gladwish Land Sales

2005/06 - GLSFootball.com

2006/07 - Austrian Airlines

2007/08 - Eurostar

Someone who can remember, please help! What's right and what's wrong?

Thanks in advance!

From trawling through previous posts on this forum I have discovered three more things (all thanks to Stu M :))

Gravesend Reporter shirt was the one we wore first season up.

The red Gladwish Land Sales shirt was used for two seasons (03/04 and 04/05) before the introduction of the GLSFootball.com shirt.

We did wear the Shepherd Neame one for the promotion season as well as the previous one.

Therefore with that in mind:

1998/99 - Mister Ham Man

1999/00 - Scania

2000/01 - Shepherd Neame

2001/02 - Shepherd Neame (Promotion Year) (same shirt as previous year)

2002/03 - Gravesend Reporter

2003/04 - Gladwish Land Sales

2004/05 - Gladwish Land Sales (same shirt as previous year)

2005/06 - GLSFootball.com

2006/07 - Austrian Airlines

2007/08 - Eurostar

To those in the know does that look correct?

It's amazing how with a little time and effort you can answer your own questions!

Cheers for that. Means I am now missing two shirts instead of one! If it's gonna be done it's gotta be done properly in my mind...!
