An idea

It appears that bodyform has managed to alert Malcolm Rowlett to the fact that the fans are not happy. Reading into it, MR was not aware of the current feeling on the Forum and did not know that updates have not been done. However, in his defence, he was willing to speak to bodyform and update him with what is going on, albeit a brief resume. As has been said before we do not need to know the ins and outs, and most of us realise that some news cannot be released until the correct time. A lot of people on here say that MR is very approachable and so I would like to propose something. It has occurred to me that the problem at the moment is that there is nobody at the club who can or is able to update the website. I believe Nicky Canham is the webmaster but he does not work at the club or even live in Margate at the moment, and relies on people letting him know what is ging on. Would the management consider having a fans representative, be it MISA or an appointed person i.e Wellsie, who would be allowed to call the club or MR on a regular basis, i.e. every couple of days, to get an update of what was going on. That person would also either have access to the website news page, the MISA page or be able to post updates on the forum. That way the club need not worry about regular updates and the fans would be quite happy, even if the update says "20 May 2008. No news today". It would also quell all the rumours that seem to fill the forum these days.

Things are underway to hopefully resolve the issue. Whether it will satisfy everyone all of the time remains to be seen (in fact I'd guess not). But you should see some more news via the official web-site which with due respect to others, is where it should be first rather than here or on the MISA pages. In terms of managing expectations. the biggest single challenge will remain when there really is no news.
