andy drury has signed for stevenage , he was at lewes last season but he was out of contract when stevenage snapped him up. does anyone know if we tried to get him back . i dont know why we let him go in the first place.

He didn't want full time football. Why would we want to re sign a player whom we had when we were struggling? He wouldn't get in a team ahead of Long, McPhee, Purcell etc anyway. He was a good player but if we had signed him he would have been fringe at best. Although I do not look forward to seeing him line up against us.

No good to us. We need players to chase lost causes for 90 minutes (and more) such as Big John, Stacy, MacPhee, Luke.

not sure about that. Thought he was one of those that stoodout when with us. It was a rather workmanlike team( and had to be to survive) but not one blessed with much conference flair.

Thought he provided that in glimpses.

I agree. Didn't seem to like hard work, didn't do enough when things were going against him and went down feigning injury more often than Drogba. Wouldn't want him back

 

However, was capable of flashes of brilliance and sod's law says that he will have a couple of blinders against us

I'm surprised Stevenage have signed him, he doesn't seem anywhere near the calibre of players they seem to attract.

 

He always did have an attitude problem. If he had a better attitude and was consistent, maybe he would fit in as a squad player, but no way could he push McPhee or Long out of the starting line-up.

The fact is that he was a good if inconsistent player in a a very average team.

His has stayed at that level of performance, whilst we have improved beyond good.
