Calm down lads

Let's be fair nobody likes to see their club in turmoil (so to speak). Yet I honestly don't think that Margate is.

Firstly the board waited to what, would be considered, the most appropiate time within which to talk and/or walk.

The ones left will than have to see how much they can find to help finance the club.

Next will come the appointment of the new manager.

Followed by the signing of contracts by the players.

The club would not have been able to release anything official because the board has to be decided first, therefore at the moment there's nothing to tell.

Yet seeing the manager's job has been advertised and what has been reported to have been said by the club secretary. I would have thought that all will become apparent by next week at the latest. I personnally think it will all be done and dusted sometime this week.

After that we can hopefully all get fully behind Margate Football Club. Cheer the players on and ALL know exactly what direction the club is going.

I think the ones left have clearly stated that they won't be pumping money into the club, so whilst i'm expecting signings i'm not expecting signings of the quality of Jay Saunders and James Pinnock and any other player that goes. We will be lower mid-table at best next season

I can only speak for myself here but I'm also certain that others feel the same way & its not just forum members either.Word of mouth from forum members soon gets around to others who don't use this forum too might I add.

Whilst its appreciated what you are saying & to some extent you may be right but its not the actions & decisions so much that those left in charge are taking, although I would like to personally hear a few answers to a few rumours floating about, its about NOT being told anything on the clubs official website.

Keith Piper has left. Fact!...or is it?

It should have been told to us "officially" i.m.o. & before the media. But even if we do get it second-hand it should STILL be up there officially soon after.

The article from KT is a prime example of having something to say.How many fans, after reading that felt "slightly better" than they felt before, even though nothing substantial was mentioned.? I know I did.

We shouldn't have to be looking forward to the next installment in the local rag for updates on whats either happening or is about to happen or even whats NOT happening.

Its all about them ignoring us & thats the main bugbear.

Once we get regular "updates", & that is all we are asking for & to preferably get it first (is that too much to ask..) I'm sure we will all sleep better in our beds.

If the club can do those two things then I think the rest of us would be calmer on a more permanent basis.

There is absolutely no need for this wall of silence & yes there are things that are ongoing that maybe have nothing to shed any light on as yet but then they should say that too.

This has been going on for a long time now & it needs sorting for the future.

I'm sure a once a week update would suffice,or even fortnightly would be acceptable by many.

There is always something that can be said, whether its happened,is about to happen or won't be happening. There is no excuse for ignoring its fans in the way that they have done.

Busy as they may be,it only takes a couple of minutes to put something together & to show some respect for those that are both supportive of this club, even if its just turning up each week & paying the entrance fee, or for those who follow this club from a distance.

GEEBEE

I suspect that Thanet District Council would rather deal with people other than Mr Piper in matters concerning the football club.

It is a known fact that Piper and Ezekiel have history and cannot deal with each other (that said Ezekiel does have trouble dealing with any human as confirmed by several of is own parties councillors)

Yes Keith hepled the club, as he did in the mid 1970s and yes when he left we are in chaos, as we were when he walked out in the late 1970s

Let the dust settle and then we can see where we stand and act accordingly to help the club

I would have thought there would be quite a few people who would like to help. But the club obviously has financial troubles that need a large cash injection. And people with money will not want to invest in a club that appears to be a total financial mystery.
What exactly are the shares worth at the moment? What exactly do MFC shareholders own a piece of, just the team or the whole ground including the 5 a sides.
I reckon even a modest amount of 100k say could really help to push things forwards. But anybody making that kind of investment would need to look at up to date accounts.
And lets face it nobody really wants to buy shares in a business that runs up large debts and has sold its assetts on the cheap.
