The game held at Jacky Bakers had a Sunday league feel to it and to add to this the players swopped positions for thier last game of the season. Well worth the trip to watch Matt Bowles play in central defence and looked good in doing so. I left just after the restart but saw Margate take the lead after a goal mouth scrap was finished by Steve at close range. The first half saw some fair play from Margate who were quickly into the game and it took Chatham 30 mins to find their feet and came on strong.

The game finished 2-2 and although Margates final position in the league would not be affcted it was a nice game to finish the season on.

Now down to others, not sure who these others might be, to decide their futures, Margate or elsewhere. It would be a huge shame if the last 2 years efforts from Phil, Tom and Mark are to be flushed down the drain or worse reaped by other clubs because MFC (including some fans) think that their younger players are not good enough and want instant results from mercenary players.
