I dont hate them for me being Canvey, I hate them for them being Southend.

 

Glad they lost to be honest but i do feel sorry for Tilly.

 

Seen Doncaster play this season and they are a very good side and i think they deserved it over the long run. Would like to see them win the final.

sorry but southend showed the country , what real supporters are all about!! over 2,000 never stopped singing and dancing who cared about the score , this club is on the up and up with a new younger fan base, the new stadium on the way , a crop of fine young players coming along, the doncaster fans came on to the pitch to applaude the southend fans, nearly everyone who went to doncaster are still buzzing today the way the fans joined together has made them see just what our club could be come , so you better get used to southend becoming bigger and bigger, and anyway we hate the canvey marsh rats with a passion... lolololol... anyway hope your club get some money behind the team ,because now you''premier'' you sure going need it, and as we have seen at afch things get much more money lead ! at premier level !!!!

how did Southend show everyone what real supporters are, all teams in play offs take decent support, and after all most of you got free transport {would've been several hundred less if you had to pay}. and you're all still buzzing today are you reading the reports in the papers how you got thrashed, you really are an odd lot. anyway at least the clubs getting bigger and bigger, how do you work that one out! . . . you are still in league one, you failed to get the promotion you thought, i reckon you're having a bit of a dream.

There is no place for that word in sport and football in this case.We all want our local Essex clubs to do well at any level.It's banter,it's competing against each other on the field and it stops there.I know a lot of SUFC supporters that when Southend is away go and watch Canvey,GWR and others wanting them to do well.There is already enough hate because of religion,beliefs,etc,leave the sport out of this.

They hated us with a passion when we very nearly 'were' within touching distance. Don't like 'em and never will. The Marsh Rat thing just sums it up. Even though i've a soft spot for tilley, i don't wish 'em any success at all. They are classic 4th division fodder (or whatever league its called nowadays). Now't else.

What a load of tosh, we hate sarfend cos they are scum!!!

They are not part of Essex they are the worst kind of fairweather supporters!!!!!

i dont mind Southend, whhen we were close you are allowed to dislike them, but now i would rather they done well. the higher they get the better level of football i get to watch on my doorstep. dont get me wrong, im not going to buy a shirt or cheer and sing that is left for Canvey and West Ham.

I don't hate them as much as I used to but they used to have a section of fans who were complete and utter morons.

 

I never really had a problem with Southend until about 10 years back when Canvey played Southend in a pre season friendly.

 

It was around the time Alvin Martin had just taken charge of Southend and we had just signed Andy Sussex and Tilly.

 

A group of Southend 'fans' spent most of the match slagging off Tilly and Sussex as well as slagging our ground and players off. They also thought it would be funny to sing songs about the Munich air crash!!

 

I know it was just a small minority but I lost alot of respect for Southend that day. That and quite alot of their supporters turned up that day thinking they would thrash our little pub team.

 

We won 3-1 that day and I can still remember some Southend fans grumbling on their way out about how lucky we was to win the game!!!
